Mariana Pajón

Mariana Pajón, born on October tenth, nineteen ninety-one, is a celebrated Colombian sport cyclist renowned for her exceptional achievements in BMX racing. She has made history as a two-time Olympic gold medalist and a multiple-time BMX World Champion, earning her the affectionate title of 'Queen of BMX'.

Pajón's journey in cycling began at an astonishingly young age; she clinched her first national title at just five years old and followed it up with her first world title at the age of nine. Over her illustrious career, she has amassed a remarkable total of fourteen world championships, alongside two national championships in the United States, nine Latin American Championships, and ten Pan American championships.

Her Olympic triumphs include winning gold medals at the Summer Olympics in London in two thousand twelve and in Rio in two thousand sixteen, making her the first Colombian athlete to achieve this remarkable feat.
