Marianne Dubuc is a talented Canadian writer and illustrator of children's books, currently residing in Quebec. Born in Montreal, she pursued her passion for art by studying graphic design at the Université du Québec à Montréal, which laid the foundation for her illustrious career.

Her literary journey began with the publication of her first book, La mer, in two thousand six, which was later translated into English as The Sea in two thousand twelve. Following this success, her second book, Devant ma maison, gained international acclaim, being translated into more than fifteen languages. To date, her works have been translated into a remarkable twenty-five languages, showcasing her universal appeal.

In addition to her writing and illustrating, Dubuc has actively engaged with the community by conducting workshops in Montreal libraries as part of the Blue Metropolis festival. Her expertise and passion for children's literature were further recognized when she was invited to lead workshops at the Encuentro Internacional de Ilustración in Valladolid, Spain, in two thousand fifteen.
