Mariano Díaz

Mariano Díaz Mejía, known simply as Mariano, is a talented professional footballer born on August 1, 1993, in Spain. He currently plays as a forward for La Liga club Deportivo Alavés and represents the Dominican Republic national team on the international stage.

Mariano's football journey began in earnest when he made his debut for Badalona in 2011. His impressive performance caught the attention of Real Madrid, where he joined the C-team and later the reserves. During the 2015–16 season, he emerged as the top scorer in the Segunda División B, showcasing his potential and goal-scoring prowess.

His ascent continued as he transitioned to the first team at Real Madrid, contributing to the club's remarkable achievements, including winning La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup during the 2016–17 season.
