Marija Jovanović, born on December twenty-sixth, nineteen eighty-five, is a retired Montenegrin handball player renowned for her exceptional skills on the court. She represented the Montenegrin national team with distinction, showcasing her talent at various international competitions.
One of the highlights of Jovanović's career came during the 2010 European Women's Handball Championship, where she not only contributed significantly to her team's performance, helping them secure a sixth-place finish, but also emerged as one of the tournament's top ten goalscorers, netting thirty-one goals.
As captain, she played a pivotal role in leading the Montenegrin national team to victory, culminating in a gold medal at the European Championship held in Serbia. Her leadership and prowess on the field were instrumental in this achievement, solidifying her legacy in the sport.
After two successful years with Ferencvárosi, Jovanović made the decision to retire from professional handball. She then pursued her academic interests, graduating in Business Economics in two thousand eighteen.
