Kyriaki Papadopoulou, known to the world as Marinella, was born on May nineteenth, nineteen thirty-eight. A celebrated Greek folk singer, her career spanned an impressive sixty-eight years, beginning in nineteen fifty-six. Marinella's remarkable vocal range and emotive performances earned her a cherished place in the hearts of music lovers.

Throughout her illustrious career, Marinella released sixty-six solo albums and collaborated on numerous projects with other artists. Her contributions to music were further highlighted when she represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest in nineteen seventy-four, marking a significant milestone as the country's inaugural entry in the competition.

However, her vibrant career faced a tragic turn on September twenty-fifth, twenty twenty-four, when she suffered a severe hemorrhagic stroke while performing at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, collapsing on stage.
