Mario Mitaj

Mario Mitaj, born on August sixth, two thousand three, is a talented professional footballer who currently plays as a left-back for the Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad. Although he was born in Greece, Mitaj proudly represents the Albania national team on the international stage.

A product of the esteemed AEK Athens academy, Mitaj made his senior debut in the Super League Greece at the young age of seventeen. He showcased his skills with both the first team and the reserve side, AEK Athens B, until two thousand twenty-two, establishing himself as one of the most promising young defenders to emerge from the club.

In two thousand twenty-two, he transferred to Lokomotiv Moscow, and by two thousand twenty-four, he joined Al-Ittihad on loan. During his debut season, he played a crucial role in helping the team secure the Saudi Pro League title and the King’s Cup, achieving a remarkable domestic double.

Mitaj's international career began in two thousand twenty-one when he made his senior debut at the age of seventeen. He quickly became a regular starter during the UEFA Euro two thousand twenty-four qualifying campaign and played every minute for Albania in the final tournament held in Germany.
