Mario Zenari

Mario Zenari, born on January fifth, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He has been a cardinal since two thousand sixteen, marking a significant milestone in his ecclesiastical journey.

Throughout his career, Zenari has dedicated himself to the diplomatic service of the Holy See. His commitment to this vocation has seen him hold senior positions since nineteen ninety-nine, showcasing his expertise and leadership within the Church.

From two thousand four to two thousand eight, he served as the nuncio to Sri Lanka, where he played a vital role in fostering diplomatic relations and addressing the needs of the local Catholic community.
