Mark Amodei

Mark Amodei, born on June twelfth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a prominent American lawyer and politician. He has been serving as the U.S. representative for Nevada's 2nd congressional district since two thousand eleven. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, Amodei has a rich history in Nevada's political landscape, having previously held positions in both the Nevada Assembly and the Nevada Senate.

His political career began in the Nevada Assembly, where he served from nineteen ninety-seven to nineteen ninety-nine. Following this, he transitioned to the Nevada Senate, representing his constituents from nineteen ninety-nine until two thousand eleven. In two thousand ten, he took on the role of chair for the Nevada Republican Party, a position he held until the following year when he won a special election to the U.S. House.

Since two thousand nineteen, Amodei has held the distinction of being the dean of Nevada's congressional delegation, a title he earned after Senator Dean Heller lost his reelection bid. Notably, he is the only Republican in Nevada's congressional delegation, which adds to his unique position within the state's political framework.
