Mark Burke, born on February 12, 1969, is an English former professional footballer renowned for his skills as a midfielder. Over a remarkable fifteen-year career, he showcased his talent across various leagues in England, the Netherlands, Japan, Romania, and Sweden.

Burke began his professional journey at Aston Villa, where he turned professional in February 1987. His career took a significant turn when he was transferred to Middlesbrough for a fee of fifty thousand pounds in December 1987. He also had a loan spell at Darlington in October 1990, contributing to their Fourth Division championship.

In March 1991, Burke made a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of twenty-five thousand pounds. His career continued to flourish as he played on loan at Luton Town in March 1994, before signing with Port Vale in August 1994. The following year, he took his talents to Fortuna Sittard, further expanding his international experience.

In 1999, Burke joined Omiya Ardija, marking his entry into Japanese football. His journey continued as he signed with TOP Oss in 2001, following stints with Rapid Bucharest and IF Brommapojkarna, where he played a pivotal role in securing the Division 2 Östra Svealand title.
