Mark Daigneault, born on February twenty-third, nineteen eighty-five, is a prominent American basketball coach currently serving as the head coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the National Basketball Association (NBA). His journey in coaching began in two thousand seven when he took on the role of assistant coach at Holy Cross and later at Florida.
In two thousand fourteen, Daigneault joined the Thunder organization, where he made significant strides in his coaching career. He dedicated five seasons to leading the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's G-League affiliate, before being appointed as the head coach of the Thunder in November two thousand twenty.
Under his leadership, Daigneault achieved remarkable success, being named the NBA Coach of the Year for the twenty twenty-three to twenty twenty-four season. The following year, he guided the Thunder to a franchise record of sixty-eight wins and clinched the championship title in the twenty twenty-five NBA Finals.
