Mark Neary Donohue Jr., born on March 18, 1937, was a remarkable American race car driver and engineer, celebrated for his exceptional skills in both developing and driving race cars. Known affectionately as "Captain Nice," Donohue's prowess behind the wheel was matched only by his technical acumen, allowing him to achieve numerous victories throughout his career.

One of his most notable achievements was his role as the developer and driver of the formidable Porsche 917-30, famously dubbed the "Can-Am Killer," which boasted over fifteen hundred brake horsepower.
