Mark Geiger

Mark Geiger, born on August 25, 1974, is a distinguished American sports administrator and former soccer referee. Currently, he serves as the general manager at the Professional Referee Organization (PRO), where he oversees the officiating of domestic referees in Major League Soccer (MLS).

Geiger's officiating career is marked by significant milestones, including his tenure on the FIFA International Referees List from two thousand eight to two thousand nineteen. His international experience includes refereeing prestigious tournaments such as the 2012 Olympics and the CONCACAF Gold Cups in two thousand thirteen, two thousand fifteen, and two thousand seventeen.

Notably, Geiger made history at the two thousand fourteen FIFA World Cup by becoming the first referee from the United States to officiate a knockout match in the tournament's history. His contributions to the sport have left a lasting impact, showcasing his expertise on the global stage.
