Mark Selby, born on June nineteenth, nineteen eighty-three, is a distinguished English professional snooker player renowned for his exceptional skills and achievements in cue sports. He has held the prestigious title of world number one multiple times and boasts an impressive tally of twenty-five ranking titles, placing him eighth on the all-time list of ranking tournament winners.

Selby is a four-time World Snooker Champion and has triumphed in the Masters and the UK Championship three times each, accumulating a total of ten Triple Crown titles. This remarkable feat positions him behind only legends Ronnie O’Sullivan, Stephen Hendry, and Steve Davis in the annals of snooker history.

His journey in professional snooker began after winning the England Under-15 Championship in nineteen ninety-eight, leading him to turn professional in nineteen ninety-nine at the young age of sixteen. Selby made his Crucible debut in two thousand five and reached his first World Championship final in two thousand seven, finishing as the runner-up to John Higgins. He secured his first major title at the 2008 Masters and his first ranking title at the 2008 Welsh Open.
