Mark Szücs

Mark Szücs, born on November fourth, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished former professional ice hockey left winger who hails from Canada but later became an Austrian citizen. His journey in ice hockey began at Union College, where he dedicated four seasons honing his skills before making a significant move to Austria in nineteen ninety-nine.

Upon his arrival in Austria, Szücs joined VEU Feldkirch, marking the start of a successful European career. In two thousand, he transitioned to EHC Black Wings Linz, where he would leave an indelible mark over the course of his career. Szücs played more than four hundred games for the team, showcasing his talent and dedication until his retirement in two thousand ten.

After hanging up his skates, Szücs continued to contribute to the sport he loves by taking on the role of assistant coach for Linz. His passion for ice hockey remains evident as he guides the next generation of players.

In addition to his club career, Szücs proudly represented the Austria national team in the IIHF World Championships held in two thousand two, two thousand three, and two thousand four, further solidifying his legacy in the sport.
