In May two thousand nine, Tornillo officially joined Accept, stepping in as the replacement for the iconic Udo Dirkschneider. His arrival marked a new chapter for the band, as he not only took on the role of lead vocalist but also became the primary lyricist, succeeding the long-time manager Gaby Hoffmann.
