Markus Merk

Markus Merk, born on March fifteenth, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished former German football referee and a practicing dentist. Renowned for his exceptional contributions to the sport, he has been honored with the prestigious German Referee of the Year Award six times, solidifying his status as one of the top officials in football history.

Merk holds the record for the most games refereed in the Bundesliga, a testament to his experience and expertise on the field. His remarkable career culminated on May seventeenth, two thousand eight, when he officiated the final match of the 2007–08 Bundesliga season between Bayern Munich and Hertha BSC Berlin.
