Maro Joković, born on October first, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Croatian water polo player known for his exceptional skills as a left-handed right wing. His journey in water polo began at the tender age of seven at a local club near Dubrovnik, where his passion for the sport flourished.
At fourteen, he joined the prestigious VK Jug Dubrovnik, a club that has become synonymous with excellence in Croatian water polo. Over the years, Joković has made a significant mark on the international stage, competing in five Summer Olympics from two thousand eight to two thousand twenty-four. His remarkable achievements include winning a gold medal in two thousand twelve and silver medals in two thousand sixteen and two thousand twenty-four, alongside holding the world title in two thousand seven and two thousand seventeen and the European title in two thousand ten.
In addition to his athletic pursuits, Joković is currently studying economics at the University of Dubrovnik. He balances his professional life with family, being married to Maria and a proud father of three daughters. His versatility extends beyond sports; in two thousand thirteen, he showcased his modeling talents for fashion designer Ivana Barač.
