Marquis of Haihun

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Marquis of Haihun

The Marquis of Haihun, born on July second in the year negative ninety-two, was a brief yet notable figure in the annals of Chinese history. Originally known as the King of Changyi, he ascended to the throne as the ninth emperor of the Han dynasty in seventy-four BC, a position orchestrated by the influential minister Huo Guang.

However, his reign was short-lived, lasting a mere twenty-seven days before he was deposed and subsequently omitted from the official list of emperors. This swift downfall marked a significant turn in his life, as he lost his kingdom of Changyi and was demoted to the rank of marquis.

In this new chapter, he was granted the fief of Haihun, located in what is now modern Jiangxi Province. It was here that he would be remembered as the Marquis of Haihun, a title that encapsulated both his noble lineage and the fleeting nature of his imperial aspirations.
