Princess Martha Bibescu, born Martha Lucia Lahovary on January twenty-eight, eighteen eighty-six, was a distinguished Romanian-French writer and socialite. Her early years were spent in the opulent estates of her noble family in Balotești and Biarritz, where she cultivated a passion for literature that would shape her future endeavors.
Her literary journey commenced in nineteen oh eight with the release of her travel memoir, Les Huit Paradis, which garnered acclaim from French critics. Among her notable contributions to literature is the novel Isvor, pays des saules, a testament to her creative prowess. Under the pseudonym Lucile Décaux, she also penned several romance novels and wrote articles for various magazines, showcasing her versatility as a writer.
