Martin Gero

Martin Gero, a talented Canadian screenwriter and film director, was born on July sixth, nineteen seventy-seven, in Switzerland. He spent a significant part of his childhood in Ottawa, Ontario, where he developed a passion for storytelling and the arts. Gero attended Canterbury High School for Dramatic Arts, which laid the foundation for his future career in the entertainment industry.

After high school, Gero pursued further education at Ryerson University in Toronto, although he ultimately decided to leave before completing his degree. His early career saw him co-write and direct the romantic comedy 'Young People Fucking,' which became a favorite at the Toronto International Film Festival. Gero's career continued to flourish as he took on various roles in television. He served as a co-executive producer for the popular series 'Stargate Atlantis' and later became the creator and showrunner of 'Blindspot.'
