Martin Sinković

Martin Sinković, born on November tenth, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished Croatian rower renowned for his exceptional achievements in the sport. As the younger brother of fellow rower Valent Sinković, Martin has carved out a remarkable career, highlighted by an impressive collection of Olympic medals. Together, the Sinković brothers have secured three gold medals and one silver, making them the most decorated Croatian Summer Olympians in history.

Throughout their partnership, Martin and Valent have excelled in various rowing disciplines. They clinched gold in the double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics, followed by victories in the coxless pair at both the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics. Their journey also includes a silver medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where they teamed up with David Šain and Damir Martin.

In addition to their Olympic success, Martin Sinković is a six-time world champion, having triumphed twice in quadruple sculls, double sculls, and coxless pair events. His prowess extends to European competitions, where he has claimed seven titles, including four in double sculls and three in coxless pair. Notably, he is also a two-time U23 world champion in quadruple sculls, showcasing his talent from an early age.

The Sinković brothers have been competing together on the international stage since two thousand eight, and they hold the world best time in double sculls, achieved at the 2014 World Rowing Championships. This remarkable feat made them the first men's team to complete the race in under six minutes. Furthermore, Martin holds the world record for the 6000 metres on the indoor rower, with an astonishing time of eighteen minutes and five point seven seconds.
