Marty Roth, born on December fifteenth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a former Canadian race car driver hailing from Toronto, Ontario. Before venturing into the world of professional motorsports, Roth found success as a land developer in the Toronto area. His passion for racing led him to compete in the IndyCar Series, where he owned his own team, Roth Racing.
Roth's racing career began to take shape in the early two thousands when he made his debut in the prestigious Indy 500 races in both two thousand four and two thousand five. He also competed full-time in the Indy Pro Series during those seasons after acquiring the series assets of Panther Racing in two thousand three.
In April two thousand six, Roth announced his intention to move up to the IndyCar Series full-time, starting with the two thousand six Indianapolis 500. Unfortunately, he faced a setback when he crashed during practice on Bump Day, preventing him from qualifying for the race. Despite this, he returned to the series later that year, participating in races at Michigan International Speedway and a few others.
Roth continued to race in the IndyCar Series, making appearances in the two thousand seven Indy 500 and two additional races. His final season in the series was in two thousand eight, where he made twelve starts but faced challenges, including multiple crashes and failures to start in several races. At the end of the season, he was informed that his license would not be renewed for two thousand nine, leading to uncertainty about his future in racing. Subsequently, Roth placed his team up for sale, eventually selling it to the new FAZZT Race Team.
