Mary Deros

Mary Deros, born in nineteen fifty-one, is a prominent municipal politician in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her political career began in nineteen ninety-eight when she was elected to represent Parc-Extension on the Montreal city council, a position she held until twenty twenty-five.

Throughout her career, Deros has been an influential figure in local governance, serving as an executive committee member under the administrations of notable mayors Pierre Bourque and Gérald Tremblay. Initially, she was elected as a member of Vision Montreal, showcasing her commitment to the community.

In a significant shift, Deros joined Union Montreal, further solidifying her role in the city's political landscape. However, in December twenty twelve, she chose to become an independent councillor, reflecting her evolving political stance. By June twenty thirteen, she reaffiliated with Équipe Denis Coderre, continuing her journey as the party transitioned to Ensemble Montréal.
