Mary Nolan, born on December eighteenth, nineteen oh two, was a multifaceted American talent known for her work as an actress, singer, dancer, and model. She began her career in the vibrant world of the Ziegfeld Follies during the 1920s, captivating audiences under the stage name Imogene "Bubbles" Wilson. However, her tenure with the Follies was cut short in nineteen twenty-four due to a scandalous affair with comedian Frank Tinney, which led to her dismissal.

Following her departure from the United States, Nolan ventured to Germany, where she appeared in seventeen films between nineteen twenty-five and nineteen twenty-seven, adopting the stage name Imogene Robertson. This period marked a significant chapter in her career, allowing her to explore new artistic avenues away from the controversies that had plagued her in America.

Upon her return to the United States in nineteen twenty-seven, she sought to reinvent herself and adopted the name Mary Nolan. She signed with Universal Pictures in nineteen twenty-eight, achieving a measure of success in the film industry. However, by the nineteen thirties, her career began to falter due to struggles with drug abuse and a reputation for being difficult to work with, ultimately leading to her departure from Universal and a shift to low-budget independent films.

After her film career dwindled, Nolan transitioned to vaudeville, performing in nightclubs and roadhouses across the country. Unfortunately, her later years were marred by ongoing drug issues and frequent hospitalizations. In nineteen thirty-nine, she returned to Hollywood, but her life had become one of obscurity. Tragically, Mary Nolan passed away from a barbiturate overdose in nineteen forty-eight at the age of forty-five.
