Masatoshi Nakayama

Masatoshi Nakayama, born on April 13, 1913, was a renowned Japanese master of Shotokan karate, whose influence extended far beyond the borders of Japan. His dedication to the martial art led him to co-found the Japan Karate Association (JKA) in 1949, a pivotal moment that would shape the future of karate worldwide.
