María de los Ángeles Felisa Santamaría Espinosa, known to the world as Massiel, was born on August 2, 1947. This talented Spanish pop and protest singer made history by winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1968 with her iconic song 'La, la, la', becoming the first performer from Spain to achieve this prestigious honor.

Massiel's musical journey began in 1966 when she released her first recordings, quickly establishing herself as a prominent figure in the Spanish music scene. Her unique voice and passionate performances resonated with audiences, allowing her to carve out a significant place in the hearts of music lovers.

After a successful career spanning several decades, Massiel made the decision to step back from her music career in 1996. However, her love for music never waned, and she returned to the studio a year later, releasing another album in 2007, along with two new editions of her beloved albums from the 1970s.
