Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Massimo Moratti

Massimo Moratti, born on May 16, 1945, is a prominent Italian entrepreneur and businessman, best known for his significant contributions to the world of football and the petroleum industry. He is the former owner of the renowned football club Inter Milan and has held the position of chairman at the Saras Group, a company founded by his father, the industrialist Angelo Moratti, in 1962.

The Saras Group operates one of Europe's few supersites, the Sarroch refinery located on the island of Sardinia, which boasts a remarkable capacity of three hundred thousand barrels per day. This facility accounts for fifteen percent of Italy's refining capacity. In recent years, the company has diversified its operations to include electricity production and is actively expanding into alternative energy sources, particularly wind energy, through its subsidiaries Sarlux and Sardeolica.

From 1995 until 2013, Moratti served as the chairman of Internazionale, where he made headlines for investing approximately one point five billion euros of his personal wealth in the transfer market. His tenure was marked by the acquisition of numerous football superstars, including the legendary Ronaldo in 1997. Moratti's influence in football extended beyond ownership, as he was honored with the title of honorary chairman of Inter and served as a United Nations goodwill ambassador.

In recognition of his contributions to the sport, Moratti was inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame in 2013, solidifying his legacy in both football and business.
