Mato Jajalo

Mato Jajalo, born on May 25, 1988, is a Bosnian former professional footballer renowned for his role as a defensive midfielder. His career began at Slaven Belupo, where he showcased his talent before making a significant move to Siena in 2009.

In 2010, Jajalo was loaned to 1. FC Köln, a partnership that turned permanent the following year. His journey continued with a loan to Sarajevo in 2014, after which he joined Rijeka later that same year. The midfielder's career took another leap when he signed with Palermo in 2015, followed by a transfer to Udinese four years later. In 2023, he made a move to Venezia, further enriching his professional journey.

Jajalo's international career is equally noteworthy. Initially a Croatian youth international, he made his senior debut for Croatia before switching his allegiance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016. Over the next three years, he earned eleven caps, contributing to his national team's efforts until 2019.
