His career spanned from nineteen seventy-five to nineteen ninety-four, with a brief return to the NHL in nineteen ninety-five with the Boston Bruins following the lockout.

Among his numerous accolades, Näslund was a key player in the Canadiens' victory in the Stanley Cup in nineteen eighty-six and earned the Lady Byng Trophy in nineteen eighty-eight. He also achieved remarkable success in Sweden, winning the Le Mat Trophy three times, with championships in nineteen eighty, nineteen ninety-two, and nineteen ninety-four.
