Matsudaira Sadanobu

Matsudaira Sadanobu, born on January fifteenth, seventeen fifty-nine, was a prominent Japanese daimyō during the mid-Edo period. Renowned for his innovative financial reforms, he played a crucial role in revitalizing the Shirakawa Domain, which is present-day Shirakawa in Fukushima Prefecture.

His tenure as chief senior councilor of the Tokugawa shogunate from seventeen eighty-seven to seventeen ninety-three marked a significant period in Japanese history.
