Matt Jarvis

Matt Jarvis, born on May 22, 1986, is an English former professional footballer renowned for his role as a winger. He embarked on his professional journey with Gillingham, where he made his Football League debut at the tender age of seventeen. Over the course of his time with the Kent-based club, he made more than one hundred appearances, showcasing his talent and determination on the pitch.

In 2007, Jarvis caught the attention of larger clubs and signed with Wolverhampton Wanderers, a Football League Championship team. His impact was immediate, as he became a first-team regular and played a pivotal role in helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League in 2009.

Following his successful stint at Wolves, Jarvis made a significant move to West Ham United in 2012 for an undisclosed club record fee. His career continued to evolve as he joined Norwich City on loan in September 2015, a move that became permanent in January 2016. He spent three additional years with the Canaries, including a brief loan spell at Walsall in 2019, before concluding his playing career with Woking in May 2021.

Internationally, Jarvis received his first call-up to the England squad in 2011, where he earned his only cap as a substitute in a friendly match against Ghana at Wembley Stadium.
