Matt Skiba

Matt Skiba, born on February twenty-fourth, nineteen seventy-six, is an influential American musician and songwriter, renowned for his role as the co-lead vocalist and guitarist of the punk rock band Alkaline Trio. Since the band's formation in nineteen ninety-six, Skiba has been at the forefront, contributing to the release of ten full-length albums over two decades, showcasing his distinctive lyrical style that often delves into dark romantic themes.

In addition to his work with Alkaline Trio, Skiba has explored various musical avenues through side projects such as Heavens and theHELL. He has also released two full-length solo albums with his backing band, the Sekrets, further demonstrating his versatility as an artist.

In early twenty-fifteen, following Tom DeLonge's second departure from Blink-182, Skiba was initially brought in to fill in for three shows. His impressive performance led to his appointment as a full-time member, during which he recorded two albums with the band: California in twenty-sixteen and Nine in twenty-nineteen. Skiba's tenure with Blink-182 continued until DeLonge's return in twenty-twenty-two, marking a significant chapter in his career.
