Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Matthew Briggs

Matthew Briggs, born on March ninth, nineteen ninety-one, is a former professional footballer who made his mark as a left-back. Hailing from England, he also represented the Guyana national team, showcasing his versatility and talent on the international stage.

Briggs began his football journey at Fulham, joining the club's academy at the tender age of ten. His dedication paid off when he made his first-team debut in May two thousand seven, becoming the youngest player to ever play in the Premier League at just sixteen years and sixty-eight days old. Over his eight-year tenure with Fulham, he made thirteen league appearances and thirty appearances in all competitions.

Throughout his career, Briggs experienced several loan spells with various Football League clubs, including Leyton Orient, Peterborough United, Bristol City, and Watford. In two thousand fourteen, he was released by Fulham and subsequently joined Championship side Millwall. However, opportunities were limited at Millwall, leading to a loan to League One club Colchester United during the latter half of the two thousand fourteen to fifteen season.

After being released by Millwall at the end of that season, Briggs made a permanent move to Colchester United, where he played forty-seven games until May two thousand seventeen. He then joined Chesterfield in August two thousand seventeen, continuing his professional journey in football.

Eligible to represent both England and Guyana, Briggs has had a diverse international career, representing England at various youth levels, including under-sixteen, under-seventeen, under-nineteen, under-twenty, and under-twenty-one, before ultimately representing Guyana at the full international level.
