Maura Tombelli

Maura Tombelli, born on November eighth, nineteen fifty-two, is a distinguished Italian amateur astronomer renowned for her contributions to the field of astronomy. Her journey began with a focus on observing variable stars, which laid the foundation for her extensive work in celestial discoveries.

Over the years, Tombelli has made significant strides in her field, becoming a prolific discoverer of nearly two hundred minor planets. Among her notable discoveries is the main-belt asteroid 7794 Sanvito, a testament to her dedication and expertise in astronomical research.
