Max Fabiani

Max Fabiani, born on April twenty-ninth, eighteen sixty-five, in the quaint village of Kobdilj near Štanjel, was a prominent Slovenian architect and university teacher. His career spanned nearly a century, during which he made significant contributions to the architectural landscape of Slovenia.

Alongside his contemporaries, Ciril Metod Koch and Ivan Vancaš, Fabiani played a pivotal role in introducing the Vienna Secession style of architecture to Slovenia.
