May'n, born Mei Nakabayashi on October 21, 1989, in Nagoya, Japan, is a multifaceted artist known for her captivating voice and dynamic performances. From a young age, she harbored dreams of becoming a singer, a passion that led her to pursue music professionally in two thousand three after successfully passing an audition with Horipro International.

Her major breakthrough came in two thousand five when she debuted under the Universal Music label with her first single, 'Crazy Crazy Crazy.' Following this initial success, she released two additional singles before making a pivotal move to Victor Entertainment in two thousand eight. That same year marked a significant milestone in her career as she lent her voice to the beloved character Sheryl Nome in the acclaimed anime series Macross Frontier.
