Mbwana Samatta

Mbwana Samatta, born on December twenty-third, nineteen ninety-two, is a prominent Tanzanian professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Ligue 1 club Le Havre. He also serves as the captain of the Tanzania national team, showcasing his leadership both at the club and international levels.

Samatta's football journey began in 2008 as a youth player for Tanzanian club African Lyon. He turned professional in 2010 with Simba Sports Club, but his career truly flourished after joining TP Mazembe, where he spent five years. During his time there, he became a first-team regular, earning the title of the 2015 African based Player of the Year and finishing as the top goalscorer in the CAF Champions League, contributing significantly to TP Mazembe's title victory.

In January 2016, Samatta made a move to Belgian side Genk, where he played a crucial role in helping the team qualify for the UEFA Europa League and win the Belgian Pro League in two thousand nineteen.
