Meagan Duhamel, born on December eighth, nineteen eighty-five, is a retired Canadian pair skater renowned for her remarkable achievements in the world of figure skating. Partnering with Eric Radford, she clinched the title of two-time world champion in two thousand fifteen and two thousand sixteen. Duhamel's Olympic journey is equally impressive, as she earned a gold medal in the team event at the two thousand eighteen Winter Olympics, along with a silver medal in the team event at the two thousand fourteen Olympics and a bronze medal in the pairs event in two thousand eighteen.
Throughout her illustrious career, Duhamel and Radford made history by becoming the first pair to successfully land a side-by-side triple Lutz jump at any Winter Olympic competition during the two thousand fourteen Olympics. Their groundbreaking performances continued at the two thousand eighteen Winter Olympics, where Duhamel, at thirty-two years old, became one of the oldest Olympic champions in figure skating. Just days later, they achieved another milestone by completing a quadruple throw jump, specifically the throw quadruple Salchow, marking a first for any Winter Olympic competition.
Before teaming up with Radford, Duhamel skated with Craig Buntin, with whom she earned a bronze medal at the two thousand ten Four Continents Championships and became a three-time Canadian national medallist. Additionally, her partnership with Ryan Arnold saw them become the first pair to land a side-by-side triple Lutz jump in competition at the two thousand five Canadian Championships, as well as the first team to execute a throw triple Lutz jump in international competition at the two thousand five World Junior Figure Skating Championships.
