Medina Dixon, born on November second, nineteen sixty-two, in Boston, Massachusetts, is a celebrated American basketball player known for her remarkable contributions to the sport. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, she proudly represented the United States women's national basketball team, earning three prestigious medals throughout her international career.

Dixon began her collegiate journey with the South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team, where she played during the nineteen eighty-one to nineteen eighty-two season. She later transferred to Old Dominion University, where she made a significant impact over three seasons, culminating in a national championship victory in the nineteen eighty-four to nineteen eighty-five season. In recognition of her outstanding achievements, her jersey number was retired by the team in two thousand eleven.
