Meena Keshwar Kamal

Meena Keshwar Kamal, born on February 27, 1956, was a prominent Afghan revolutionary and a fierce advocate for women's rights. As the founder of the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA), she dedicated her life to fighting for the rights and freedoms of women in a society that often marginalized them.

Throughout her career, Meena emerged as a multifaceted figure, excelling as a writer, poet, essayist, journalist, and social worker. Her work not only highlighted the struggles faced by Afghan women but also inspired a generation of activists to continue the fight for equality and justice.
