Meghan Klingenberg

Meghan Klingenberg, born on August second, nineteen eighty-eight, is a distinguished former professional soccer player from the United States, renowned for her role as a left back. With a remarkable career, she made seventy-five appearances for the United States national team, contributing three goals and playing a pivotal role in the team's triumph at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Klingenberg's soccer journey began at the collegiate level, where she showcased her talent with the North Carolina Tar Heels. During her time there, she was instrumental in securing two national championships in two thousand eight and two thousand nine, establishing herself as a formidable player early on.

After her collegiate success, she transitioned to the professional arena, first competing in the last season of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) before moving to Sweden to join Tyresö FF, the Damallsvenskan champions, in two thousand twelve. In two thousand fourteen, she returned to the United States to join the Houston Dash, an expansion team in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), before making a significant move to the Portland Thorns in two thousand sixteen.
