Mehdi Taremi

Mehdi Taremi, born on July eighteenth, nineteen ninety-two, is an accomplished Iranian professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for the prestigious Super League Greece club Olympiacos and the Iran national team.

A late bloomer in the world of football, Taremi began his career with Shahin Bushehr and Iranjavan before making a significant impact at Persepolis from two thousand fourteen to two thousand eighteen. During his time there, he showcased his scoring prowess by becoming the top scorer of the Persian Gulf Pro League on two occasions, in the seasons of two thousand fifteen-sixteen and two thousand sixteen-seventeen.

In two thousand eighteen, Taremi transitioned to the Qatari side Al-Gharafa, where he played until the following year. He then moved to Portugal, joining Rio Ave, where he achieved the remarkable feat of being the joint-top scorer in the Primeira Liga for the two thousand nineteen-twenty season. His journey continued in two thousand twenty when he signed with FC Porto, where he celebrated a domestic double in the two thousand twenty-one-twenty-two season.

Building on his success, Taremi finished as the top goal scorer in the league during the two thousand twenty-two-twenty-three season and added to his accolades by winning both the Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga.
