Mel Bridgman

Mel Bridgman, born on April twenty-eighth, nineteen fifty-five, is a distinguished Canadian professional ice hockey centre. His career spanned fourteen seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), where he showcased his skills with five different teams from the nineteen seventy-five to nineteen eighty-nine seasons.

Bridgman made a significant impact in the league, participating in two Stanley Cup Finals with the Philadelphia Flyers in nineteen seventy-six and nineteen eighty. His leadership qualities were evident as he served as the team captain for both the Flyers and the New Jersey Devils during his illustrious career.

After hanging up his skates, Bridgman transitioned into a successful role as a player agent and front office executive. Notably, he became the first general manager of the contemporary Ottawa Senators franchise, contributing to the team's development and success.

Originally hailing from Trenton, Ontario, Bridgman spent his formative years in Thunder Bay before relocating to Victoria, British Columbia, where his passion for hockey flourished.
