Mesut Mert

Mesut Mert, born on March eighteenth, nineteen seventy-eight, is a distinguished football coach and former player, currently leading the men's soccer team at Saint Mary's University. His journey in the world of football began in Bulgaria, where he developed a passion for the sport that would eventually take him across borders.

Representing Canada on the international stage, Mert showcased his skills and dedication, contributing to the growth of soccer in the country. His experience as a player laid a solid foundation for his transition into coaching, where he has continued to inspire and develop young talent.

Before taking the helm at Saint Mary's University, Mert served as an assistant coach for the HFX Wanderers from twenty twenty to twenty twenty-three. His strategic insights and leadership have been instrumental in shaping the team's performance and fostering a competitive spirit.
