Metro Prystai, born on November seventh, nineteen twenty-seven, was a distinguished Ukrainian-Canadian professional ice hockey forward. He embarked on his National Hockey League journey with the Chicago Black Hawks in nineteen forty-seven, showcasing his talent and determination on the ice.

Throughout his career, Prystai also donned the jersey of the Detroit Red Wings, where he achieved remarkable success. He was part of the team that clinched the Stanley Cup twice, in nineteen fifty-two and nineteen fifty-four, and made three All-Star Game appearances during his twelve-year tenure in the NHL.

After concluding his NHL career following the nineteen fifty-eight season, Prystai spent part of a season in the minors before retiring from professional hockey. He then transitioned into the business world, operating an insurance company in Wynyard, Saskatchewan.

Metro Prystai was a widower, having lost both of his spouses, Evelyne and Mavis, before his passing. He died on October eighth, two thousand thirteen, in a nursing home in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, at the age of eighty-five.
