He gained significant recognition for his compelling performance as David Goodson in the television film David's Mother, which earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Special in nineteen ninety-four.

Goorjian is perhaps best known for his role as Justin, the love interest of Neve Campbell's character in the beloved series Party of Five, which aired from nineteen ninety-four to two thousand. His film career includes memorable performances as Heroin Bob in the cult classic SLC Punk! in nineteen ninety-eight and its sequel, Punk's Dead, released in two thousand sixteen.

As a director, Goorjian made his mark with his first major independent film, Illusion, in two thousand four, where he not only directed but also starred alongside the legendary Kirk Douglas. His creative journey continued with the release of Amerikatsi in two thousand twenty-two, an Armenian-language feature that he wrote, directed, and starred in. The film premiered to critical acclaim and was selected as Armenia’s submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the ninety-sixth Academy Awards.
