Michael Conforto

Michael Thomas Conforto, born on March 1, 1993, is a talented American professional baseball outfielder currently playing for the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball (MLB). Known affectionately by the nickname "Scooter," Conforto has made a significant impact in the league, having previously donned the uniforms of the New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Conforto's journey to the MLB began at Oregon State University, where he showcased his skills as a standout player for the Oregon State Beavers. His exceptional performance caught the attention of scouts, leading to his selection by the Mets in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft, where he was picked tenth overall. He made his much-anticipated MLB debut in 2015, quickly establishing himself as a key player.

Throughout his career, Conforto has achieved notable accolades, including being named an All-Star in 2017 and earning a spot on the All-MLB Second Team as an outfielder in 2020. After the conclusion of the 2021 season, he entered free agency but faced a setback in 2022 due to a shoulder injury that sidelined him for the entire season.
