Michael II Komnenos Doukas, also known as Comnenus Ducas, was a prominent political figure in the thirteenth century. Born in the year twelve hundred and five, he rose to power as the ruler of the Despotate of Epirus, a significant region in northwestern Greece.
His reign began in the year one thousand two hundred and thirty and continued until his death, which occurred between the years one thousand two hundred and sixty-six and one thousand two hundred and sixty-eight.
