Michael Morell, born on September fourth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a distinguished American former career intelligence analyst and politician. He served as the deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency from two thousand ten to two thousand thirteen, and held the position of acting director on two occasions, first in two thousand eleven and again from two thousand twelve to two thousand thirteen.
In his role as a CIA analyst, Morell was entrusted with the critical responsibility of being the presidential daily briefer for George W. Bush. Notably, he presented the infamous briefing titled 'Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US' on August sixth, two thousand one, and briefed the President on the morning of September eleventh, two thousand one, a pivotal moment in American history.
Morell is also an accomplished academic, currently serving as a professor at the George Mason University - Schar School of Policy and Government.
