Michel Langevin, born on May 30, 1963, is a multifaceted Canadian artist renowned for his contributions as a graphic designer, percussionist, composer, and musician. He is best known as a founding member and drummer of the heavy metal band Voivod, which he has been a part of since its inception in 1982. Langevin played a pivotal role in crafting the band's unique mythology, centered around a post-apocalyptic vampire lord, and has been instrumental in maintaining its enduring science fiction themes.

He has co-written songs for JG Thirlwell's Steroid Maximus and contributed his drumming skills to Men Without Hats' album "Sideways" released in 1991. In 2005, he collaborated with the late Denis "Piggy" D'Amour and Canadian artist Lucien Francoeur to record an album featuring classic Aut'Chose songs, showcasing his ability to blend different musical styles.
In 2007, Langevin, alongside fellow Canadian musicians Pat Gordon, Marc Vaillancourt, and Philippe Mius D'Entremont, founded Les Ékorchés, an acoustic hardcore/thrash metal band. Their debut album, also titled "Les Ékorchés," was released on February 27, 2007, featuring tracks entirely in French, further demonstrating Langevin's commitment to exploring diverse musical landscapes.
